Our Leadership
Darek Danielewski
Darek’s journey with BI began as a succesful developer at PepsiAmericas, where he managed to co-present PeopleSoft BI reporting at the Enterprise 2000 Cognos User Conference in Annaheim. During his years of service there, he was very active in the Cognos Chicago User Group, giving presentations at Cognos' requests at User Conferences and over the web-enabled virtual meetings. He frequently used his technical and systems architect skills to help PepsiAmericas in internal web development, wide area networks, wireless technologies, handheld distributed computing as well as mainframe development and help desk support.
After seven years of worldwide service for PepsiAmericas, he decided to accelerate his technical development and has been a very welcomed addition to Cognos Midwest Consulting Services as Senior Consultant and just 3 months later to BI Advisory Team, one of the most respected consulting teams of that time.
In his pursuit of self-fulfillment and everyday challenge, in April 2004 he decided to start his own practice, together with two other well recognized names in Cognos family, under the name of BrightStar Partners. Over 4 years, they’ve managed to build it to a successful 20+ person practice, during which time Darek developed one of the company’s flagship software offerings, while remaining a top notch consultant, very active in the business community, and infrastructure support person for the entire company.
As his thirst for learning new technologies grew on him, in May 2008, to his and his peers regret, he parted with BSP and started BI Software, a think tank and solution provider for Microsoft, Apple and Cognos user communities.
